Dear Mr. Mengel,

My name is sonia merino, I am a biologist in Cape Verde Island, West Africa, currently working in a small aquaculture project. I am also going to teach aquaculture in a fisheries biology course in a couple of month.

I wonder if you could help me to find out first, how , knowing that there exist artemia sp.. in an especific place, it is possibly to determine if there exist cyst, when they are most possibly to occur. Which are the criteria that are necessary to take in account to investigate this.

Also, here in Cape Verde fishermen use Decapterus macarellus between 6-14 cm as bait for catching tuna(Katsuwonus pelamis). Do you happen to know is any fish with that size can be used for this kind of fisheries or if the K.pelamis prefers D. macarellus as staple food

Finally, because I am going to teach aquaculture in the future, I would like to get in to the didactic of this subject, therefore, I would like to ask you, if possibly to provide me with a free copy of the How Tos and any other appropriate material for teaching.
