I was wondering if you had any information on the effects of having an area for the production of japanese oysters (not the native species), with no controls on it. I am researching a natural ecosystem that is productive and is being leased out for this purpose, but "no take zones" are not being taken into consideration. What effect will this have on the natural environment in terms of other species, organisms and the natural cycling of nutrients? Could it be sustainable? Thank you.
