Major Extension Activities

• Coordinate the Indiana Ram Test Performance Program
• Work with the Indiana Sheep Breeders Association on the annual sale of performance tested rams and replacement ewes
• Purdue University Lambing School
• Purdue University Shearing School
• Work with the ISBA on the Hoosier Sheep Symposium
• Animal Sciences Youth Workshop
• Serve as Secretary for the ISBA, Board of Directors and Executive Committee
• Educational resource for County Extension Educators, sheep producers, and allied industries
• Conduct and speak at adult and youth producer meetings and workshops

Lamb Carcass Composition Research

• Evaluation of electronic technology to asscess carcass composition
• Carcass component growth as influenced by nutrition and genotype

Grazing Systems Research

• Multi-species grazing utilizing sheep and cattle
• Winter grazing and forage evaluation for ewes
• Sheep and agroforestry grazing systems
